Request: Keep track of document selection switching view

I select a document as in View 1. I change views to View 2. The document selection is lost. I switch back to the previous view. The document selection is gone as in View 3.

I would have expected the focus to remain at the document level even as the view is switched.

A future release will revise the views and fix this as a result.
