Just a heads up here as. I know there are ScanSnap users on here:
the ScanSnap software has been upgraded to 3.0 (on June 24., 2025)
I was in the midst of prepping my laptop for an OS upgrade and then DT4 when I got the upgrade notices. I clicked through them and then about halfway through I noticed there were more things to click than one would expect from a simple point upgrade.
I wasn’t paying the proper amount of attention so I am not sure what has changed. Hopefully its just the new scanner model support and the addition of MS Sharepoint and other cloud destinations that they’ve added, Fingers crossed. (note to self - pay attention!)
This is sage advice in many facets of life: software, petting strange animals, eating leftovers…

I just updated to ScanSnap Home 3.1.0 (6). Have not tried to scan to DT since I upgraded to 4. Now it did not work so I will troubleshoot. If anyone has a secret solution Im happy to listen!
I did delete DEVONthink in ScanSnaps app and added it again as someone here in another thread recommended in May but did not work.
Yes, if you’ve recently updated to DT4 then you’ll need to update your ScanSnap profile (because the app name has changed from DEVONthink 3 to just DEVONthink), but otherwise I haven’t noticed any issues. The very clear instructions under In & Out => Going Paperless (Other Options) in the DT4 Help and manual still work.

It works! It ended up in the Global Inbox. Earlier I has a different setting. If I can be in love with someone else than my wife it must be DEVONthink…

Change Files > Import > Destination to Select group if you want to use the group selector.
