ScanSnap ABBYY License?

I recently took out my old ScanSnap S1300i and got it working with my M2 Max MBPro. I’ve been pretty reliably scanning with my phone for the last 5 years. My new task is scanning some archival financial/admin docs for a small non-profit corp that I help manage.

I had to scan some photos of old documents (yes!) and I changed the settings to the highest they would go so I could get good OCR and edit them later. I set it to PDF.
When I imported them into DEVONthink they triggered a warning:

2025-06-06, 21:50:54: /Users/akm2pro/Library/Application Support/ABBYY/SDK/12/Licenses/Licensing.clf was not found.

Once in DT I tried to OCR them to PDF+text but I get the same warning.
I can’t see any ABBYY settings in the ScanSnap Home software.
Any insight?

EDIT
New Info: I had to find the separate ABBYY For ScanSnap downloader and install that and then use it to convert scans to readable PDF+Texts in Devonthink. I just looked at the basic document test scans I did yesterday and they too can’t be converted within DEVONthink to PDF+Text. Thankfully I have some time to test this workflow before I start scanning the bankers boxes.

The Licensing.clf is generated by ABBYY, try the following:

  • Quit DEVONthink
  • In Finder select the menu Go->Go to Folder, copy and paste the one below and press Go.
    ~/Library/Application Support/ABBYY/SDK
  • Rename the folder 12 to 12old
  • Restart DEVONthink and try to OCR a record.

That worked!

10 out of 10, would recommend!

Thanks so much.
