Setting for automatically opening new documents in tabs

Hi,

I am certain (as far as someone my age can be certain…) that a few months ago, I had DT4 set up so that when I clicked on a Wikilink, a new tab was created to show the target.

Now for some reason, when I click on the link, it either creates a new window, or replaces the content of the current one (depending on the status of Settings: Wikilinks > Open new documents in separate windows. I have Settings: General > Interface > Enable tabbed browsing ticked, of course.

I know that I can use opt-click with context menu to open in tabs, but am I imagining it that there used to be system-wide setting to automate this? If so, where is it now?

Thanks!

Command-click opens a link in a new tab (when tabs are enabled). Add Shift to the combo to create and switch to the new tab.

Thanks, Jim!

I must have been imagining a global setting then… I’ve got a memory like a golf course, full of holes.

I hear you
