Shortcut: Show search list

Hey everyone,

I have a short question regarding how to create a specific shortcut. Is it possible to search for a specific term or alias (so having an input), then have a list sorted by created date, and when selecting a certain item, open it in DEVONthink?

Thanks!

A little more context, please. Are you looking to search within DTTG or search text outside of DTTG and have the shortcut find relevant files in DTTG?

Thanks!

My idea is to search within DTTG but more easily from a shortcut.

I’m not sure how is this “more easily”. You can do a search and use the view options to sort by creation date in the search results. And that sort method is remembered.

@BLUEFROG And is it possible create a shortcut with an input and pass it through to DTTG?

I often do an alias search and I want to simplify it (instead of open DTTG and configure the search).

Yes. But you are aware your aliases should be unique, correct? So you should only have one match, at least per-database. But here is a simple example anyways…

alias-search

Does that appear to function as expected?

Sorry for the delay.

Yes, it does. Could you please share the shortcut with me? That would be a great help.

Thanks!

No worries!
