Should it work to run an DEVONthik script from outside DEVONthink?

Should it work to run an DEVONthink script from outside DT3? I have a long running script I tink I can control and manage better when I kick it off outside DT3 (via osascript or Keybaord Maestro).

The script does searches in DT3 and adds web document records. Any problem I could run into when I start the script outside DT3?

Why would you think it would run better outside DEVONthink? The application is still going to have to respond to the Apple Events.

At least I can kill the script easier without quitting DT3.
