Side-by-side 2 DTG screens

Had to leave my laptop in the shop for some maintenance and that forced me to work exclusively with DTG on my iPad. Today I was playing around DTG to process information that has been laying about waiting for some attention. Eventually I opened side-by-side two instances of DTG. This allowed me to create a really effective information organization flow. Something that I have done on the laptop but not on DTG. It is pretty effective for a fast organization, even between databases. Experiment with the setting that unifies the inboxes. Also work with replicants. Recommend giving it a try.

The same trick also works with side-by-side browser windows in DT Server (though there of course you do need a Mac running DT on the network).

So logged into Server’s web interface in two browser windows then dropping between the two?

My iPad is too primitive for that; I just use it for side-by-side reading and lookup, at which it’s great.

So Mac and iPad both logged into the web interface as side-by-side windows?

No, just side-by-side browser windows on my elderly 2016 iPad logged into DT on my desktop Mac. It’s an office-on-the-sofa thing.

What amazed me was the simplicity of working on the iPad with the 2-screen view, and the level of productivity that I obtained. The ease of shuffling around Groups and documents at the basic level, even between databases, was something different from what I have experienced with the laptop. It was also more comfortable sitting with the iPad in the living room vs a laptop. Of course, the processing power of MacBook and the deep functionality of DT4Pro is unmatched, but that has other purposes.
