I’m trying to sync Devonthink files that are stored in my documents folder with Dropbox. I’m getting an error message that one should not store such files on cloud services.
To confirm, by using the sync feature of the Documents folder in Sierra, I’m causing issues with the Dropbox sync setup?
Apparently, you have accepted the Sierra option to sync your Desktop and Documents folders in iCloud.
DEVONthink won’t allow you to save a new database to a cloud-synced location, in order to prevent database damage.
Suggestion: Move any existing database files to a new folder created for that purpose in your Home directory, and save new databases to that location.
