My databases are synced to iCloud. The above Smart Group search came with DT4. The “Search in: Databases” causes DT4 to search in all iCloud folders and incorrectly populate the Item List with documents that are not in DT4 databases but that are in other iCloud Drive folders. DT4 documents are correctly displayed in the Item List. This happens with every Smart Group search that has “Search in: Databases” as the search location.

Do you index files in your iCloud Drive folder (which is not the same as iCloud itself!) into one or several of your databases? What exactly are your sync settings?
@chrillek is correct. This is not causing DEVONthink to search in “all cloud folders”. DEVONthink is not searching the Finder. It is reporting all documents in all open databases. Therefore, the logical conclusion is you have indexed more of your iCloud Drive directory than you think you have.
