Smart Rule (search) on toolbar?

Is this possible - I use one regularly and have to scroll past all my folders to reach it?

Sorry but no it’s not possible to add smart rules directly to the toolbar.

However…

  1. Control-click the smart group/rule
  2. Select Data > New > Bookmark and paste in the item link.
    Optionally add ?reveal=1 to the end of the URL if you want to switch thte view to the item instad of opening a new window.
  3. In the Finder, select the ​Go ​menu while holding the ​Option key​, then choose ​Library​.
  4. Open the Application Scripts/com.devon-technologies.think3/Toolbar directory.
  5. Drag and drop the bookmark from DEVONthink into this directory.
    Optionally (but logically) rename the file in the Finder.
  6. Quit and relaunch DEVONthink.
  7. Select View > Customize Toolbar and drag the item to the toolbar. It should be toward the end of the available buttons to add.
