Smart Rules Organise into Year Folder?

Is it possible to organise pdfs via. smart rule into year sub folders?

EG Top Level is “Receipts” and then 2023, 2022, 2021. When the smart rule pulls a receipt it grabs the date and then moves it into the corresponding year?

Ive had a bit of a search around and can’t see anyway to do this, but to be honest I might have been searching for the wrong terms. Hope someone can help! Thanks!

Technically speaking: yes.
Practically speaking: it depends on the quality of the document, and receipts are notoriously poor.

But if you have a receipt OCR’d or already having a text layer, you could use a File action with a placeholder or Document Date > Year, e.g.,…
