I’m having a few weird issues with undo/redo and highlights and notes in the PDF viewer as an external window (undo highlights and note creation redoes some highlights, but did not restore a note)
But more pressingly - can the note icon that appears in a document be moved in towards the page more? I’m finding lots appearing for me on the right of the window, and as I have continuous scroll though the document enabled, this tends to prioritise scroll bar navigation above note clicking.
There’s two icons after the page break, both yellow boxes. Inevitably, after raising this issue, the first one was created in a place that does not interfere with the scroll bar; the second one does. I suspect the note icon is being placed on the right-hand side of the bounding box of the highlight it relates to.
The mystery open note at the top baffles me; it stays in place when I scroll through the document, and I cannot find which annotation it is linked to, or delete it. I’m happy to send this PDF by email, rather than upload it in public, if that’s of help.
Thanks - it is. I just filled it with random typing until it showed up in the inspector, but I still cant deselect it on the page so it disappears, and I can’t move it or select it in any way that I can later manipulate it.
I right-clicked it in the inspector, and deleted it - this removed the note highlight, and I now have an open note on the PDF which I cannot delete or move, and is no longer listed in the annotations inspector.
Edit: I was brave enough to save, close and reopen the file. It’s disappeared. However the abberant behaviour was real and not imagined!
