Having major problems with sorter… how can I strip out folders from the sorter so that only ‘inbox’ is showing? I dumped the 4 devon pref files and the folders still how in the sorter; every time I try to delete them, either by dragging them to the trash or using the sorter command to delete them, it crashes.

I really like this app, but this problem is a real PITA.

Hi Peter

To reset the sorter to just the global inbox:

  • Open DT preferences and in the Sorter tab quit the sorter.
  • In Finder delete or rename the folder ~/Library/Application Support/DEVONthink Sorter.
  • Back in DT preferences restart the Sorter.

I believe that I have fixed this issue for the next update however it would be great if you could send the crash logs for this via the helpdesk.devontechnologies.com/

The crash logs can be found in the folder ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports and will be of the form DEVONthinkxxxxxx.crash where xxxxxxxx is the date and machine name.
