Is there a way to rename/correct a database name?

Also I would like to have the DB’s sorted in alpha order.

You can quit DEVONthink, then rename the .dtBase2 database package name with Finder (or other renamer app).

It’s also possible to assign a database name in the Name field of the File > Database Properties… (Control-Command-P) window but that doesn’t change its .dtBase2 filename.

Do you mean sorting db names in the sidebar or sorting documents within a db? The latter isn’t currently supported in Three Panes view.

I meant in the sidebar, sorry. I have 8 DB’s that I use.

Not currently. Looking at the list of open databases in my case, I’d guess that they are sorted in reverse order of loading.
