How do I convert an imported PDF to RTF or plain text so I can summarize it. The convert selections convert to RTF or Plain Text are greyed out for PDFs.
this works fine (but costs a shareware fee). it would be nice for future users to include text lightning in the devon think package (like other shareware products include other products or offer discounts; e.g. mellel cooperates with bookends).

Isn’t pdftotext built in to DT??
It is but select all and summarize are grayed out for PDFs. How does one create a summary of a set of PDF’s like DevonAgent does for web pages?
If the options are disabled, then the PDF documents do not contain any text (e.g. only scanned bitmap graphics) or are encrypted.
