I have several files created with Swift Publisher 6. Until a few weeks ago, it was possible to view them in Devonthink, and obviously, I needed to “open with” the app in order to work with them. Now, such files are not viewable in the DT window, only the Swift logo appears, so even to scan quickly their content, I need to open them in the app. Something happened with any update? Thanks
And what do you see when you select a Swift Publisher file on your desktop and press the Spacebar?
I’ve noticed that various of my filetypes no longer have Quick Look previews in Sequoia.
I don’t know details and I don’t have Sequoia … but from a quick Google search for “Quick Look previews sequoia missing” found the following from The Eclectic Light Company, which is a leading Mac technical site and they report on some Quick Look changes in Sequia, which might be the root cause of what you see. You might find fixes with more internet searching.
Yes, I was aware of the changes to Quick Look and the deprecated framework, but thanks for reminding me of Howard Oakley’s blog. I’d forgotten to consult it for more information. I often look at it when something breaks in macOS! Especially when iCloud isn’t working …
