Hello,
I use Devonthink 4.3.2 on my Mac. It sinks perfectly with my iPad Pro (DT to go 4.2). I tried to install DT to go on my iPhone 17 just to be able to capture and then sync the inbox with my Mac …I don’t need my databases on my iPhone. Unfortunately it does not work at all : I tried syncing using the same setup as between my Mac / iPad (iCloud CloudKit )…but noting appears on my iPhone…which keeps showing old data which was on an install of DT3 not used at all…
what should I do? use a different canal than between Mac and iPad?
Sorry : I’m not a tech guy…so basic questions are difficult for me…
many thanks for your help
Michel
Did you find and follow the install instructions exactly? There are troubleshooting ideas at DEVONtechnologies | FAQ. Did any of those ideas work?
On the iPhone, if you upgraded from DEVONthink To Go 3, version 4 migrates that information. That being said…
- You need to delete the version 3 application and its application data, then reboot the device.
- There’s no requirement to keep the databases on the iPhone.
- You have to be syncing at least one database from the iPhone. Typically this is the Global Inbox but it doesn’t have to be.
Did you set up the same sync location, then tap the location and enable the desired database to sync?

My pleasure and I hope it shows that many issues people run into actually have very simple, logical solutions.
