Sync on Quit Question

I am using DT 4.1.1 and syncing using CloudKit to sync with an iPhone and iPad. Sync has been a little uneven for me, sometimes taking quite a while. I noticed that when I am quitting on the Mac, in the bottom left corner I get the following every time:

“Quitting DEVONthink - Completing synchronization…”

and the progress bar just goes back and forth until I hit control Q again, at which point it immediately quits the application, but does not always seem to finish the sync.

Any thoughts? I would love for sync to be set it and forget it. Thanks in advance.

This might happen e.g. in case of huge files which require additional steps. Is a verification of the sync store successful? Was anything logged to Window > Log?

Thank you for the prompt response. I had previously run verifications and they all seem to be fine. I will say that perhaps a week ago I was getting one message from the log that one file was not able to be uploaded. Unfortunately, I was not savvy enough to be able to figure out which file that was. Since I sent my above message I did something I probably should’ve done a while ago. I have typically several databases open; I closed all of them, and then opened them and then closed them one by one. One of the databases took 20 or 30 seconds to sync before closing, but the rest went very quickly. Since then, sync seems to be going much more rapidly and working.

In other words, thank you. Matter seem to be fixed and I appreciate the quick response. I apologize for the lengthy post, but did it in case it helps someone else.

Glad to hear that it’s working as expected now. Please let us know if this should happen again.
