Sync via USB?

Is there any way to sync Devonthink To Go from my iPad to my laptop via a USB cable?

I’m traveling for work, staying in hotels, and I’m reluctant to do WiFi syncing for security reasons. Or is there some way to secure the WiFi transfer well enough that I could safely use the hotel’s WiFi?

SImple solution-create an ad-hoc network on your Mac and join that network with your iPad.
