Synchronization of two macs with different version of Devonthink 3

I use Devonthink 3 Pro on two computers. The desktop I can’t upgrade beyond macOS 1.13 and that means the Devonthink 3 Pro installation has stopped at 3.8.3. My laptop on the other hand is on version 3.8.5.

My question is this: can I continue to upgrade the laptop to version 3.9.2 and later without any problem synchronizing the db with the desktop?

There should be no particular issue other than any problems you run into in 3.8.3 won’t be fixed.
