Syncing, ePubs, and DTTG

In DT on the Mac, I have a database that contains a number of ePub files.

In DTTG, this database is configured to “Sync on Demand.” which it successfully does with PDFs, web pages, and other documents. But not the ePubs. They just show the “document cannot be opened” error message. Is this a problem with ePub files, with sync, or both?

Synchronization is via Dropbox and has been working fine with other databases for years. The ePub files in question are DRM-free and work fine on the Mac.

Any ideas?

That’s because DTTG cannot open ePub files. You can open them in a compatible app (e.g. Apple Books) via the share menu.

All becomes clear, thanks. I was sure I’d opened ePubs in DTTG before, but clearly not.
