The operation couldn't be completed. No such file or directory (NSPOSIXErrorDomain 2)

Hi,

I recently keep receiving the error:
The operation couldn’t be completed. No such file or directory / No such file or directory (NSPOSIXErrorDomain 2)

in my log window. The error keeps repeating every minute. Is there any fixes? This is in the newest version of DEVONthink (3.0.4).

What kind of sync are you doing?

They are local sync stores on a removable volume.

As I suspected.
That error is given when the volume isn’t available.

Is it possible to sync only when the volume is present? The logs are a bit annoying.

Is it possible to sync only when the volume is present?

No.

The logs are a bit annoying.

The log is there to tell you there’s a problem, in this case that it can’t sync (which is a problem. Imagine if it wasn’t syncing and didn’t tell you).

The sync should only start when the volume containing the sync store is mounted but it’s possible that the volume was unmounted during the sync.

Hi to me this happened while the dir was mounted in the networkfolder where the syncstore resides and I could open the folder and see the file without problems. I had to restart DT3 to make it see the folder again. Any explanation? It’s a macbook DT3 was running while i closed the lid.

Was the volume mounted all the time?

I am running into the same problem. I am indexing my google drive folder and all seems fine… except when I am trying to sync. It goes for about 40 minutes or so and chugs along nicely and then stops. When I look at the log and I see.

… But I am looking now and it restarted to sync. Can someone help ??

What are you syncing to?

Dropbox … I have 2 other databases that sync fine - its just this one.

Hi @BLUEFROG - Its been a couple of days and I have not been able to solve this … can I set up a call or support ticket??

Yes. You can open a support ticket.
