The "update" button on the right of menu bar is anonying

I know that DT4 is coming out but I am not going to update DT3 to DT4 currently. The “update” button on the right of menu bar is very very anonying when opening DT3 each time.

Change Settings > General > Check for Updates to Never and relaunch the app. That removed the upgrade button for me.

The button is cosmetic and has no effect on the functioning of the application.
