Time Machine konnte das Backup auf „My Passport" nicht abschliessen
Backup von „/Users/martin/Library/Application Support/DEVONthink/Inbox.dtBase2/DEVONthink-9.dtMeta" konnte nicht erstellt werden.
occurred after upgrading to DT 4 pro

This is a question for Apple as we don’t develop or support Time Machine.
Yes, as @BLUEFROG says, this is Apple’s software. In the meantime, it could be file is in use or locked by DEVONthink at that moment. Close down DEVONthink completely and re-run TimeMachine. Also, do a Verify and Repair on the database in DEVONthink as that might release any locks that are inadvertently put on the file/folder.
sorry! - but this is a problem that occurred only after upgrading to DT 4 and only with files created / controlled by DT 4.
I know what Apple would answer to this.
For sure there is some locking or protecting by DT4 which I do not understand.
I did both already before, problem stays. Am I the only one? Never had any problem like this
Are the file(s) “locked”? What are the macOS permissions on the file? Look in Finder.
Anecdotal evidence.
I also have intermittent issues with backups, Arq and Backblaze similarly.
Did you verify your backup volume? Enough free space on it?
