Being a novice, I rely a lot on the tooltips. I’ve found that the tooltips in the editing bar above the document window are often off by one or two. Most commonly it’s one off so the tooltip belongs to the icon to the right of the one I’m hovering over. Sometimes the tooltip belongs to the 2nd icon to the right. Sometimes I don’t even get a tooltip if/when I hover over an icon in that bar. I don’t know if this is a macOS problem, a DEVONthink problem, or something I might be doing wrong.
This is a macOS Tahoe issue and it’s affected by the available width of the Navigation or Editing bar. Make sure the view/edit pane is sufficiently wide enough to display all the available buttons and information and the tooltips should appear in their correct position.
