Trailing slash in location with name

I just stumbled across this while writing an AppleScript to generate PDF files based on LaTeX sources stored within DT.

Is this “works as designed”? I did not expect that there is a trailing slash behind letter.tex.

Sorry, if this text looks auto generated, but I have my newborn on my lap and use dictation.

I confirmed this is the case for documents but it would be the appropriate result if you had a group selected.
Development would have to weigh in on it.

At least for DEVONthink the trailing slashes do not matter at all, it works with or without.
