Transclusion of files with yaml

Hi!

When I include several markdown files by transclusion: ![[file1]] ![[file2]] etc., the yaml of each file shows in the preview mode as well. I am not sure if this should be this way or it’s a bug.

Would it be possible to consider removing it, perhaps adding a checkbox in preferences for including yaml from transclusion files in the preview mode?

Are you using Obsidian?

Also, screencaps of the YAML document and its transclusion would be helpful. We can’t see your screen from here

PS:

Partly. But I also use yaml in DEVONthink records whose not indexed from Obsidian.

Obsidian doesn’t have a great accessibility for screen reader. Dataview plugin is reason why I have my notes both in Obsidian and DEVONthink.

screenshots coming shortly!

I think I found why it happened. If yaml has nested values, those will be included in preview. But if I preview file 1 itself, there is no yaml in the preview mode. In transclusion from other files, yaml will be shown.

I upload a
file1 and file2.zip (1.9 KB)
zip file with those 3 files instead.
