Has the triggered script field been removed from the inspector? The only way to attach an script it through applescript?
Looking at the documentation for v4 it seems it removed the mention to the script field in the inspector.

Indeed, the field is gone. It was confusing or unused by many people and many functions are now done via smart rules and batch processing. However, it still has its own uses for some. You can use the attached script property on the record class to add a triggered script via a script. See the Automation > Triggered Scripts section of the built-in Help and manual.
