Troubles with Siri integration and Workflows

On my iPad, I have created a Workflow that is intended to capture spoken notes through Siri’s voice recognition. See the attached screenshots for details.

I use DTTG’s action “create new document” (I’m afraid I have to guess at the translations since I use German on the iPad), and in that action, can’t select which group the new document is supposed to be created in. Workflows shows an error message stating that “communication with the app is not possible”. How can I select my target group there?

Do you have DEVONthink To Go’s Settings > Security enabled?

Well… the Security setting is off on the iPad where I took the screenshot.

However, both my Workflows app (via iCloud) and DTTG (via a DEVONthink instance on a mac) sync with an iPhone that has that setting enabled.

Does the issue persist after quitting and relaunching DEVONthink To Go?

It does (verified after a full device restart as well).

How many databases do you have?

Sorry for the late reply, I was away from my DT devices for a while :slight_smile: I have 9 databases, with generally 7 of them in active use.

  • What version of the mobile operating system are you running?
  • What version of DEVONthink To Go are you running?

That’s iOS 15.6.1 and iPadOS 15.7, with DTTG 3.5.6.

What about in a new shortcut with just the Create Item action, e.g.,…
