Turn on/off Pilcrows in Markdown Editor?

I feel like I ought to know this, but don’t, and despite me looking I’m stumped.

On my iMac in the DEVONthink Markdown editor source-code view, pilcrows are turned off. On my MacBook pilcrows are turned on in source-code view.

Where is the “switch” or other control on turning seeing pilcrows on and off? I’ prefer them “on” and visible.

Format > Show Invisible Characters (as the setting is not related to Markdown)
