“Preview” is used both in View > Preview (for None, Standard and Widescreen) and in View > Document Display > Preview . It is therefore not possible to change in macOS System Preferences the shortcut used for the latter DT function.
Would it be possible to change one of the two?

Instead of using only the last part “Preview” use the full path to the menu item
View->Preview
View->Document Display->Preview
Hi there, it’s not possible to assign a shortcut to a Smart Rule in the normal way (by using the name) in system preferences as there are two menu items for every Smart Rule.
But it’s possible if you use the menu path instead, going step by step down, delimited by “->” (and no space before the next menu item).

This works with every menu item whose name is not unique in an app (and with all others too).

And remember, no spaces before or after the ->.

I was unaware of this way to input it the path to the shortcut. Thank you.
Apple does NOT make this tool easy to use.
