Two issues in DT 4.2

2 bugs:

1. The highlighted text in the Preview window is now a bright yellow such that I cannot see the text underneath it.
2. Smart Rules that apply a tag with slashes in the name of the tag only tag those items with the text following the last slash. So if I have a Smart Rule that says “tag this as Law/Cases/Civil” then those items will only get tagged as “Civil” and it will be placed in a tag folder “Cases” which will be placed in a tag folder called “Law” whereas before this upgrade it worked properly.

1. You didn’t mention what OS you’re running and if the highlight was created in DEVONthink or another application. Post a screen capture of this highlight issue.
2. This is not a bug. This is how tags and groups have always worked and you should not use forward slashes in tags. A forward slash denotes a group separator. This is also a feature and documented in the Getting Started > Tagging > Nested Tags section of the built-in Help and manual…

Unfortunatately an issue of Tahoe’s PDFkit framework in case of dark mode, it’s the same in Preview.app. Version 4.2.1 will use slightly different colors to highlight found occurrences.
