Unable to change MP3 metadata

I am unable to change any of the metadata fields for the mp3s in my database. I am wondering if anyone might have some advice for me on how I can edit these fields

Unrelatedly, I wonder if generic metadata (rather than custom) can be added to groups in DT3. Does anyone know?

Metadata of audio/video files isn’t editable, it’s only indexed/searchable (and shown e.g. in the Info > Properties inspector).

What exactly is “generic metadata”? In the end only custom metadata is customizable.

By “generic,” I was referring to the fields found in Properties.

That’s not customizable and automatically handled depending on the file format.
