Not on the MacBook 14.4, no.
Desktop is 14.3.1 and works now.
Could this prompt be clarified? The text
Check DEVONthink has rights to access the web browser and that the active tab
has a URL.
doesnât actually tell the user where to look, or that they need to look in the System Settings rather than DTâs app settings. An explicit instruction to check âSystem Settings > Privacy & Security > âŚâ would be helpful.
Also, while I was anticipating @cgrunenbergâs explanation would be correct, DT already had automation privileges enabled for Finder and Safari. Enabling Full Disk Access, as @BLUEFROG suggested, seems to have resolved the issue.
On a related note, this thread from a few years ago mentions that the Services menu was at one time preferred to using the Sorter, but that Safari 14âs support for services is broken. DTâs options arenât present under âSafari > Servicesâ in 17.3.1, so I gather Apple still has not attended to this bug?
Iâm not sure what all that means, but it still doesnât work.
Anybody got any ideas on this? It still doesnât work.
Iâve had this problem/error arise for the first time today. Full Disk access and automation both enabled. In Safari Settings, Extensions, the extension is enabled, and âallowâ is set for all websites.
Using the share sheet does work to clip from the active Safari tab, but the menubar icon fails with the âUnable to Clipâ error.
What is the URL? The source web site could be the issue. also, what version of DEVONthink and macOS?
DT 3.9.6, Mac OS 14.5, URL, and restarting the computer a second time has resolved the issue. Thanks.
