Anybody know what this means and how I can fix it?
Doesn’t work for Vivaldi either.
It does work for Opera. Why is this and how can I fix it? Anybody know?
Does DEVONthink have Full Disk Access enabled in System Settings > Privacy & Security?
Yes, it does.
Opera works fine. Safari and Vivaldi do not.
And is DEVONthink allowed to automate these browsers? Full disk access is actually not necessary for clipping.
I’ve tried to figure out how to do that. I can’t find anything on it.
See System Settings > Privacy & Security > Automation
I didn’t know that was there. I’ve checked it and they are all ticked.
And which automation options are listed for DEVONthink 3 actually? Also Safari & Vivaldi?
Yes, they are all ticked. I’ve tried it again with Safari and it now appears to be working. Schrödinger’s setting? I’ve influenced it by looking at it?
I’ll check on my MacBook to see if it has the same effect.
No change on the MacBook with identical settings.
Try this…
Disable the extension in Safari’s Settings > Extensions then reenable it. Quit and relaunch Safari and try the clipping again.
By the way, what URL are you trying to clip?
That didn’t work.
It wont’ work for any URL.
It’s the Sorter, not the Safari extension.
The Sorter and the browser extensions are bound together.
And have you tried the browser extension instead of clicking on the Clip to DEVONthink in the Sorter?
Actually browser extensions (and bookmarklets) are just the preferred method to clip contents but not required, clicking on the Sorter and choosing the browser does not use the browser extension but requires automation.
The browser extension works, but isn’t very reliable. Usually does what I want on the second attempt.
What OS?
14.4
Does rebooting fix this?
