Sorry for the newbie question, but I’m confused about the Trash.
I wanted to delete a tag that is applied to several hundred documents in my database, so I went to the Tag group and moved that Tag to the Trash.
Now the Trash contains all of the hundreds of documents, but the documents are not shown in strikethrough.
Does that mean that if I empty the Trash, the documents will still in the database?
You moved the “Tag group” to the trash
This is the tag, and hundreds of replicants
If you check the records, you’ll see replicant icon

Emptying the trash will remove the tag and replicants
If they are truly replicants, you’ll still have the documents in the database
This completely accords with my understanding and my experience.
