Updated and bought DT4 license...global inbox and content gone?

seems like with my new DT4 license purchase today and update to 4.01 my global inbox (and content!) there are gone..

how does one bring that back and hopefully restore the contents?

Did you follow the upgrade guide? Did you uninstall DT3 before installing DT4?

Do you have General > Appearance > Display number of items inside groups disabled?
It’s hard to see what’s going on in an uncropped screen capture.

also i upgraded from 3 a few weeks ago and have been using the previous beta up until this morning

Activating a seat shouldn’t have any effect other than setting what functions are permissible with your license.
Does the issue persist after quitting and relaunching DEVONthink?

maybe good to let other users now this can happen so people dont freak out haha
