Time for an upgrade of my computer. As always - security first. Did a backup of my entire DT Database. Dragged it to iCloud Drive for storage only - using local for real use. Actually made an image of it. Then started from scratch with my new Koenigsegg of computers. Used to have a Porsche meaning an older MBP so similar. Everything went absolutely seamless. I do use three backup systems including TimeMachine.
Since my wife got the “old” MBP she was a bit curious about the speed of my new laptop. So she asked me to pick one of my favorite apps like FCP or so. The app I really use most is DT so let’s try that one. Almost no difference and that makes me happy! This post is not anything else than just realizing that DEVONthink works perfect on any platform and even if you get a super computer no big difference - and if you have an old slow computer - same thing. DT just works. I am still thrilled about my Max and will see if it affects the search time etc.
