I’d like to search for all and ONLY the .icns files on my machine and then refine the results ( perhaps using keywords in the file name) What check boxes do I use and what do I put in the search bar ? Thanks all !

I don’t think you can filter the results directly in EasyFind, but you can of course run multiple searches.
Is there a reason you’re not just using spotlight for this? You can create a smart folder (which is just a saved spotlight search), add File Extension as a criteria and enter icns in the corresponding field. Or simply type icns in the search bar of a Finder window and choose Type in the dropdown that appears. Then type additional keywords you want to search for.
