Using Indexed groups for replicant groups between DB's?

I partly use a set of Indexed groups for large files that fall that should exist outside of my DB’s. But…I also use them as as a work-around for shared groups that cannot be indexed – because they’re in separate databases. It’s just solution that I came up with, but I’m wondering…

Is there another, suggested approach for creating replicated groups between two database? And would it be possible to maintain at least one set of Indexed groups (i.e., in order to keep the heavy files off of the database) with another approach? Or is my way the best approach as it exists right now?

No. Replicants are limited to the same database.

Understood. I suppose I was wondering if there just might be another way of doing this, perhaps using smart rules or something. Thanks!
