Using trigger-words with AI chat

With ChatGPT particularly, in the browser interface using my OpenAI account, I have designed several lengthy prompts and then trained ChatGPT to recall and execute a prompt when a trigger-word assigned to that prompt is used. This works very well with ChatGPT in a browser.

In DEVONthink 4, when ChatGPT is configured in Settings > AI > Chat using an OpenAI key associated with my OpenAI account, the Chat does not recognize any of my trigger words. Meaning, it does not execute the underlying detailed prompt that I designed and assigned to the trigger word.

Is this a limitation of the OpenAI API?

Exactly. Just like Custom GPTs can’t be used.

Figured as much. (Thank you, Sam, once again.)

I can load the prompts into a Typinator macro.

Longer term, maybe we could store prompts as plain text files (one per prompt) in a designated “Prompts” group, which would be visible, by file name, in this menu:

VERY long term, of course.

The possibility to define prompts is actually planned for an upcoming release.

Nice. Thank you.

Maybe that new feature would support prompting via (locally configured) trigger-word.
