I include a lot of equations in my notes, drag-and-dropping little PDFs from LaTeXiT. The default in a DevonThink RTF note appears to be that the PDF be displayed as a link. Is there a way to have the PDF actually display in the note?

See Preferences > Editing > General: Check “Display PDF attachments of rich texts”.
