View PDF Properties in Column view (EDIT: List view)

I’m sure there’s a simple explanation/fix, but I can’t find it…

I’m 99% sure I used to be able - in DTPro 3 - to show PDF Properties in Columns view: Author, Title, Comment, Subject, etc. These are all visible in the Inspector, but they no longer appear when I right-click the columns to check/uncheck the columns I want to view in DTPro 4.

The custom metadata - “Data” in the Inspector - I created is available, and I don’t remember doing anything special to have the PDF Properties available in Column List view before. So I couldn’t find a fix to this.

What am I missing??

Try View > Show Details (or Cmd-Opt-L).

View > Show Details is greyed out, no matter what is selected (item or group).

But having a look in the View submenu, I found Customize Metadata, where all the Properties I want are unselected. Selecting them fixed it.

Must have been reset to default or something when I upgraded from DT3 to DT4.

Seems you’re using List view, not Columns view and List view doesn’t support this.

Indeed, I am! Thanks for the Cmd-Opt-L shortcut, I didn’t know we could have a preview of the item in the Column view this way. Might actually switch back to that view! :slightly_smiling_face:

P.S: View > Show/Hide Details is also supported by search results using List view since version 4, by default the details are shown.
