Have you tested DevonThink with this portable wand scanner? My wife is computer-phobic but I am trying hard to get her up to speed on DevonThink, and she likes the use case for this scanner. But if it won’t work with DevonThink then I am not interested.

I haven’t seen that scanner and don’t know whether or not it’s compatible with the Image Capture or ExactScan Capture controllers built into DT Pro Office.

But even if it’s not, scanner output can be saved to a folder on the Mac, and the output files can then be imported with OCR into a DT Pro Office database.

I recall seeing a script discussed in the Scripts area of the forum that can be set up to automatically import and OCR images (such as an image-only PDF) deposited into a Finder folder.
