Hmm, there is no code that actually searches for such a file and deletes it. So it must be a (good) coincidence of some kind, maybe you emptied the database’s trash or such? But whatever it was: great that it is resolved now!
I meant that in a different way:
When I tapped on the Console.log file in the Files App, DTTG got started and a message was shown with a text similar to “not importing this file - skipping” …
It was only visible a short time.
After that, the regular error messages vanished!
That was clearly after some code in DTTG decided to explicitly NOT import this files. And this is new code, compared to some years ago.
That was not a coincidence.
I could have reproduced on my iPhone, but sadly I deleted the App for a new installation.
Hmm, this looks almost as if the Console.log
file was stuck in the internal import location and so DEVONthink To Go tried to import it over and over again until, finally, with the new code it rejected it for the last time and deleted the annoying file.
Yeah, something like this - I had this on 2 of 3 iPads and one the iPhone.
Fixed it with this method on one iPad … I reinstalled DTTG on the other devices.
