Set up a Sync store on iCloud or a Synology NAS drive with WebDAV or Dropbox

AFAIK, iCloud (and perhaps Dropbox, too?) requires the same AppleID for every one syncing with it. So one would either have to set up a new, dummy one that both people share or use another sync method.
