I am not sure how all of these duos are getting created. I don’t create dups intentionally
I believe images is a Smart Group, so it would indicate that e.g. ‘Zero to Done’ exists in several groups and/or databases.
Have you checked the trash? That is one place they could be.
Have you anything external to DT, like a Hazel rule that could be sending a file multiple times?
Do you sync the database using more than one sync method? I have had this sometimes create two versions of the same file.
Are these files indexed in the Finder to DEVONthink on a Mac then synced to DEVONthink To Go?
I am embarrassed to admit that I have not gotten sync to work with DT to Go.

I did not expect a smart group to create files across non synced databases.
I have used DT to create a temp indexed DT database and then had DT do the OCR of all PDFs and then deleted the DT Database.

Not in trash

Nope

I have tried to sync several of the temp DT Databases to see if I could get sync working maybe 3 times.
Have you opened a support ticket?

What happens in this case? Can I not synchronise indexed files with DTTG? I have indexed files in Devonthink on the Mac and Devonthink To Go shows get a lot of duplicates.
Can I not synchronise indexed files with DTTG?
Of course you can. However, DEVONthink To Go doesn’t support indexing files so they are treated as imported files in it.

Duplicates, i.e., files with copy
appended to the name, aren’t caused by indexed files. They’re caused by sync conflicts. Is that what you’re referring to?

I have deleted and reloaded a database in Devonthink To Go. The database has no duplicates on the Mac and over 1000 on the iPhone. I’m still trying to understand what’s happening here.
On DEVONthink To Go’s databases screen, select ? > Contact Us to start a support ticket.
