I am looking for a precise definition of all the terms below but can’t find them in the manual under smart groups. thanks in advance for your time and help
The “DEVONthink Manual”, page 240 of the 3.9.6 version lists them. To be honest, most are pretty much self-explanatory.

I am confused because many predicates are absent from p.240, for example tag, marked, label and others are confusing (for me), such as the difference between name, filename, item and title and even subject. I would have liked to read a definition of each. thanks very much
If you have the time to go through a lengthy manual, you might as well experiment with these filters. Playing with smart groups does not affect the actual documents, so you don’t need to worry about accidentally deleting data.

Page 240 of the DEVONthink 3.9.6 manual is not about search prefixes so I’m not sure why you’re looking there.
You should be looking at Appendix > Search Prefixes.
Note: page folios can change as documentation evolves, so I wouldn’t rely on page n of the manual.;
