Without being nasty, this is one of the worst things I’ve noticed while testing the product. What the hell is the point of having a Document Management System if it changes the format so much that the document cannot be recognised as the original document? I can understand needing to make a RTF copy, but why not import the original format as well?
While testing it I imported a whole lot of documents, and then suddenly noticed I need to keep the original folders I had imported because it wasn’t maintained original formats. That means the original files can potentially be deleted whilst there is still a reference in Devonthink.
Maybe someone can tell me something I’m missing here, because other than that its a really nice product, but this is sales killer.
