WordService app no longer working with OmniOultiner

I just upgraded to DTP4, running Sequoia 15.5, and OmniOutliner 5.14.2.

WordService used to work perfectly in OmniOutliner (thru the OO Services Menu), and now it doesn’t. Every time I invoke a WordService function in OO, I get this error message:

The “WordService: [xxx]” service could not be used because the “WordService.app” application did not provide valid data.

WordService still works in other apps, such as TextEdit, but not in OO. Any idea why? Again, this just happened after I upgraded to DTP4 - I have not upgraded OO lately.

DEVONthink and WordService are completely independent apps. Maybe a reboot will help.

Alas, re-booting hasn’t helped. And WordService still does not work with OmniOutliner. I’m using the latest versions of everything … any idea why this isn’t working?

Does OmniOutliner support other services that return text?

Hi Christian. I’m not really sure. I know it used to work great with WordService. I just tried some other WordService functions, like convert to All Caps, and that didn’t work either. I will try emailing Omni support …

The current version of macOS Sequoia is 15.7.3. You should update your operating system and stay current with the point releases.
